Morgan Monterroso is a Registered Nurse completing her training at Carencia to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Wesleyan University and went on to complete an additional Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in December 2019. She is working on her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University and will graduate in February 2024.
She has worked as a Registered Nurse at John Peter Smith Hospital since 2020 in the adult in-patient unit and has served in multiple leadership roles and committees. Morgan has a board certification for Registered Nurses in the specialty of Psychiatry from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her experience and specialized knowledge allow her to provide excellent care, while under the supervision of a PMHNP, to clients experiencing a variety of mental health concerns.
Mental health and wellness are Morgan’s passions, and she strives to provide all clients with a calm and supportive environment that is necessary for the healing journey. She believes in a holistic approach to mental health and is training to incorporate psychotherapeutic approaches into her practice as a future PMHNP.
Outside of work and school, Morgan enjoys spending time with her family, backpacking in National Parks across the United States, walking her dog, traveling, and reading novels.
