James is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Psychiatry to treat clients across the lifespan. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and went on to work in adult inpatient psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center for eight years, where he spent the last four years as Assistant Nurse Manager. He then completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice at Rush University.
James treats a broad range of mental health conditions. He believes that meaningful connection is at the heart of effective treatment. His approach blends evidence-based therapeutic methods with personalized medication planning, emphasizing collaboration, transparency, and respect for each person’s unique experience. He strives to create an environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their journey toward wellness.
Outside of practice, James enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, spending time in nature, and engaging in a variety of creative outlets.
